What is drag clicking?
Drag clicking is a technique where you drag your finger across the mouse button so friction registers many clicks at once, reaching peaks of 20 to over 100 CPS. It depends heavily on the mouse: only some models with the right button surface and switches allow reliable drag clicking. It is spectacular, but many games and servers detect and cap it, since it produces unnatural bursts of clicks. This test measures how many CPS you get by dragging.
How to drag click
- Drag your finger from the edge of the button downward with light, steady pressure
- You need a compatible mouse: the button surface must generate enough friction
- A bit of grip (grip tape or a slightly damp finger) helps the drag register
- Don't overdo it: drag clicking wears out the mouse switches faster than regular clicking
