What is jitter clicking?

Jitter clicking is a technique for clicking very fast by tensing the forearm and wrist muscles so the finger vibrates over the mouse button. It reaches between 9 and 14 CPS, well above regular clicking (4-8 CPS). It is popular in Minecraft PvP, but it takes practice and can cause fatigue or discomfort if overused. This test measures your jitter clicking speed and places it in the reference ranges.

How to jitter click

  • Lightly tense the forearm and let the vibration reach the finger; don't force the finger alone
  • Rest your wrist on the desk to steady the mouse while you vibrate
  • Start with short bursts: jitter tires you fast and technique matters more than force
  • Stop and rest if you feel pain or strain: poor jitter form can cause wrist discomfort
