Why reaction matters so much in Delta Force
Delta Force splits into two modes that demand very different reactions. Operations, the extraction mode, puts your own kit on the line: die and you lose everything you brought in. Reaction there is mostly about holding angles and answering the first contact in duels that close inside half a second. Havoc Warfare, the large-scale warfare mode, opens the fight up to long distances, vehicles and many simultaneous angles, so your reaction is spread across identifying the right threat and switching targets rather than winning one clean duel.

Because of how network latency works, the player swinging around a corner sees their opponent a few milliseconds before that opponent sees them: the movement information has to reach the server and then the other client.
