THE FINALS Crosshair Settings

Colour, thickness, outline and centre dot: everything except the shape

THE FINALS splits its crosshair options across two different menus that, oddly enough, offer exactly the same thing: you can get there through Gameplay or through Accessibility and you will find identical controls. What you get is a simple but precise editor with separate RGB channels for the crosshair and for its outline.

What you will not get is a shape selector. In THE FINALS the silhouette of the reticle is fixed and untouchable; what you can adjust is how it reads: width, colour, outline, centre dot and opacity. This guide walks through each control and makes clear which ranges are confirmed and which are not.

What can and cannot be changed?

You cannot change the SHAPE of the crosshair. That is the hard limit of the system and it is worth knowing before you go hunting for an editor that does not exist. Practically everything else is on the table: colour through independent red, green and blue channels, line thickness, an outline with its own width and its own RGB colour, the centre dot and its radius, and overall opacity. That last setting hides a useful detail: with opacity at 0 the crosshair disappears from the screen entirely, so if you want to play without a reticle you need no strange workaround, just drop that value to the minimum. There is also no known importable code for THE FINALS: everything is configured by hand in-game, and both menu routes (Gameplay and Accessibility) lead to the same place.

Crosshair parameters

These are the available controls. We only mark ranges as verified when they are confirmed; the rest are left without a number rather than invented.

SettingWhat it doesRange
WidthThickness of the crosshair lines. Higher values are more visible but cover more of the target.Range not published
Outline widthThickness of the border around the crosshair. This is what keeps the reticle legible on bright or busy backgrounds.Range not published
Red / Green / BlueColour channels for the crosshair, adjustable separately so you can land on any shade.0-255 (verified)
Outline Red / Green / BlueColour channels for the outline, independent from the crosshair itself. Lets you run a dark or contrasting border.0-255 (verified)
Centre dotTurns the dot at the exact centre of the reticle on or off.Verified
Centre dot radiusSize of the dot when it is enabled. Only has an effect with the dot switched on.Range not published
OpacityOverall transparency of the crosshair. At 0 the reticle disappears from the screen completely.0-100 (verified)

How to open the crosshair menu

  1. Open Settings from the main menu or from the pause screen in a match.
  2. Go into Gameplay and find the Crosshair section. If it is not there, go to Accessibility and look for Crosshair: both menus give exactly the same options.
  3. Adjust width, outline and the RGB channels until the reticle reads clearly against the backgrounds you meet most.
  4. Decide whether you want a centre dot, set its radius and finish by fine-tuning opacity.

Tips for dialling in your crosshair

  • Work on the outline first and the colour second. A solid outline makes almost any colour work, even over the brightest parts of a map.
  • If you want a crosshair that never gets lost, push the channels apart: a saturated colour on the reticle and a near-black outline.
  • The centre dot helps a lot with single-shot weapons, but it can cover heads at range. If you enable it, keep the radius modest.
  • Opacity at 0 leaves the screen with no reticle at all. It is a legitimate way to practise aim by muscle memory, though we would not recommend it for serious matches.
  • It does not matter which menu you use: changes made in Accessibility show up in Gameplay and vice versa, because they are the same block of options.

Frequently asked questions

Can you change the crosshair shape in THE FINALS?

No. The reticle shape is fixed. You can change colour, width, outline, centre dot and opacity, but not the silhouette itself.

Is there an importable crosshair code?

None is known. THE FINALS offers no import or export of crosshair configurations: everything is set by hand inside the game.

What happens if I set opacity to 0?

The crosshair disappears from the screen entirely. It is the bottom of a verified range running from 0 to 100.

Which of the two menus should I use?

Whichever you prefer. Settings > Gameplay > Crosshair and Settings > Accessibility > Crosshair give exactly the same options and share the same values.
