Marvel Rivals Crosshair Settings

Thirteen parameters, one crosshair per hero and a code system with fine print

Marvel Rivals took reticle customisation seriously. You get thirteen parameters, a dedicated outline, blur, independent opacities and even a crosshair angle, and all of it can be saved hero by hero. With a roster this varied, running the same crosshair on a precision shooter and on a melee brawler makes no sense at all.

The game also includes something Overwatch 2 lacks: real crosshair codes you can import from the menu itself. But there is fine print, and it matters: they only work on PC. This guide covers every parameter, the exact menu path and how per-hero configuration works.

What can you customise?

Practically the whole look of the reticle: base style, centre dot with its own width and opacity, a circle with width and radius, line length and angle, centre gap, overall opacity, an outline with its own width and opacity, blur and colour. And all of it PER HERO: in the top-left corner of the menu there is an All Heroes button that lets you switch between a global setup and one for a specific character. Marvel Rivals does have an importable crosshair code, stored as plain text with fields separated by semicolons and handled through the Reticle Save option. The detail almost nobody mentions: that import system only works on PC. On console you will not be able to paste anything, so the only way to reproduce someone else's setup is to open the menu and copy the values by hand, one at a time. That is why we publish no example code here: what actually helps is understanding what each parameter does.

The thirteen reticle parameters

This is the full list of controls and what each one does. NetEase does not publish the numeric ranges of the sliders, so we do not invent them.

Outline widthThickness of the border wrapping the reticle and separating it from the background.Range not published
Outline opacityTransparency of that border, independent from the reticle's own opacity.Range not published
BlurSoftens the edges of the crosshair. At high values the reticle loses definition.Range not published

ColorHue of the reticle. The first thing worth tuning based on the maps you play most.Range not published

How to reach the menu and set it up per hero

  1. Open Settings and go to the Keyboard or Controller tab, depending on how you play.
  2. Move to the Combat section and find the HUD block.
  3. Inside the HUD block you will find Reticle Save, which is where the reticle editor and the import system live.
  4. Use the All Heroes button in the top-left corner to switch between the global setup and a specific character's.

Tips for setting up your crosshair

  • Set a comfortable global crosshair first, then create exceptions only for the heroes whose firing style genuinely demands it.
  • High blur makes the reticle softer but also harder to place precisely. When in doubt, keep it low.
  • Crosshair angle is the most underrated parameter: rotating the lines completely changes how you read the centre without touching anything else.
  • Raise outline width and opacity before enlarging the reticle. The problem is usually contrast, not size.
  • If you play on console, forget about pasting codes and write down the values you want to replicate: you will have to enter them by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Does Marvel Rivals have importable crosshair codes?

Yes. They are plain-text strings with fields separated by semicolons, handled through the Reticle Save option in the menu.

Do the codes work on console?

No. Code import only works on PC. On console you have to open the menu and copy the values by hand, setting by setting.

Can I have a different crosshair per hero?

Yes. The All Heroes button in the top-left corner lets you toggle between a global configuration and one for a specific hero.

Where exactly is the reticle menu?

Settings > Keyboard or Controller > Combat > HUD section > Reticle Save. That is where the thirteen parameters and the import system live.
