The yaw value is the angle in degrees the camera turns for each unit of mouse movement. It is the constant that makes sensitivity conversion possible: two games sharing a yaw share a scale, so the number carries over unchanged. When the yaw differs, the conversion multiplies by the ratio between them.

What is cm/360 and why is it the best metric?
cm/360 measures the physical centimeters you need to move your mouse to complete a full 360° turn. It is the universal metric because it does not depend on DPI or game: if two players have the same cm/360, they move exactly the same. Most FPS pros use between 20 and 50 cm/360.
What is the difference between hipfire and ADS?
Hipfire is the sensitivity when you shoot without aiming down sights. ADS (Aim Down Sights) is the sensitivity when scoping. This calculator always converts hipfire sensitivity. In Valorant, hipfire and ADS share the same base sensitivity. In CS2, R6 Siege or Warzone, ADS has separate multipliers.
What is yaw and how does it affect conversion?
Yaw is the internal multiplier each game uses to convert mouse movement into degrees of rotation. CS2 uses 0.022, Valorant 0.07, OW2 0.0066. The conversion formula is: target_sens = (source_sens × source_yaw) / target_yaw.
How does FOV affect sensitivity?
FOV (Field of View) determines how much you see on screen. With a higher FOV the same physical movement looks slower. This calculator converts using each game's default FOV. If you use a very different FOV, the perceived sensitivity may vary slightly.
Should I disable "Enhance Pointer Precision" in Windows?
Yes. This option (mouse acceleration) causes the mouse to travel different distances depending on speed, which destroys muscle memory. To disable it: Control Panel → Mouse → Pointer Options → uncheck "Enhance pointer precision". All competitive players have it disabled.
What poll rate should I use on my gaming mouse?
Poll rate determines how many times per second the mouse reports its position. 1000 Hz is the standard and more than enough for competitive gaming. Premium mice offer 4000 Hz or 8000 Hz, minimally reducing latency. For FPS, 1000 Hz is perfectly valid.
